Topics covered include basic pharmacology, toxicology of alcohol, theory of Infrared spectrometry, legal aspects of the IR instruments, push button operations, and minor maintenance and repair. Students will gain hands-on training and troubleshooting techniques. Upon completion of the course, CMI certifies the individual to operate and perform minor maintenance and repair of the instrument as well as instruct others on the use of the instrument.
Law Enforcement Training
CMI offers a (2.5 to 3.0) Day training course that covers the operation and maintenance of the Intoxilyzer infrared instruments. These classes are held at our Owensboro, Kentucky facility and are designed for operators, technicians or criminalists. The classes are for beginners or law enforcement officials experienced in conducting breath alcohol tests.
